Bio

Mike Maurice is an indie-folk singer-songwriter from southern Maine whose music blends soulful acoustic writing with New England roots and western horizons. His songs explore love, loss, and life’s quiet dualities, earning praise for turning deeply personal stories into something widely resonant - what A&R Factory called “a sonic space where the intimate becomes universally relatable.”

His recent releases include “Telephone” and “This Old House,” both co-produced with Danny Black of Good Old War and Gregory Alan Isakov, collaborations that reflect Maurice’s patient, detail-driven approach to recording and his instinct for letting songs unfold organically.

Performing both solo and with his full band, Maurice continues to cultivate a growing community across New England theaters, listening rooms, and tucked away stages. His live shows move with a quiet gravity; a sound that takes each room on a journey through shadow and light, distance and return, and the slow work of becoming.

Radio support has followed, with WMPG’s DJ Leo describing Maurice’s group as a rare studio guest capable of delivering a powerful “wall of sound.” He continues to tour throughout the Northeast while writing toward the next chapter - new songs taking shape on the road, rooms filling one listener at a time, and a body of work guided less by urgency than by care.

“We were aware of how talented Mike Maurice was on the keys, but nothing could prepare us for his fantastic guitar work on his new album "Apartment Secrets". Layers of electric and acoustic guitar are joined with mandolin and (of course) keys creating a nicely done soundtrack for Maurice's cool and soothing vocals. The songs themselves are the true stars of the show with the two singles, "Yesterday's Mistakes" and "Forest Fire" bookending a pack of really well done songs.”

“What we have with "Yesterday's Mistakes" is a delicate balance of warm country tones mixed in with borderline blues sounding vocal tones.”

Fred Bambridge, IT’S ALL INDIE

“Some of the best art in history came from a mind in despair and one has to wonder if our creative drive is fueled by the desire to focus on anything else. Whatever the case. . . Mike Maurice has channeled that heartache into something grand to share with the world, like his latest single, ‘Yesterday’s Mistakes.’”
